Valerie believes in the power of people. She has used her passion for social justice and racial equity to support education and employment access in the public and private sectors. She has held positions and consultancies at various organizations including Public Allies, The American Sociological Association, The Obama Foundation, and the Wikimedia Foundation. She is a W.K. Kellogg Racial Equity and healing fellow and obtained her B.A. in sociology from Spelman College and her M.Ed in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Valerie resides in Washington D.C. but loves being near and in the water. She is always excited to chat about interesting podcasts and all things blerdy.
