Andrea has trained thousands of school leaders, systems leaders, and other education equity managers. She began her career as a sixth-grade teacher in Phoenix, where she was inspired by her students’ courage to dream and their extraordinary persistence in the face of challenges. Since then, Andrea has led and managed large and diverse teams to results in several senior roles. At Teach For America, she more than tripled the scale of the Phoenix region as executive director and went on to manage executive directors across Texas and Florida. In 2010, Andrea served as founding executive director of The Sanford Education Project, an innovative partnership embedded in Arizona State University’s education school. In 2016, she led the team running Teach For America’s 15,000-person 25th Anniversary Summit event. Today, Andrea continues to invest in leaders by training with The Management Center and coaching independently. She lives in the Rocky Mountains with her three children and several chickens.
