Managing to Change the World – Washington DC

Are you ready to level up your people management skills? This interactive, in-person training provides essential tools to help you delegate tasks effectively, supercharge check-ins, and make equitable choices as a manager every day. 

Effective management takes practice and it starts with your delegation process. Meaningful delegations lays the foundation for achieving goals, developing staff, and building a healthy team culture. 

Who is this training for? Managing to Change the World is for people managers in mission-driven nonprofits and education. Whether you're a new manager or deeply experienced, you'll leave more confident in your management approach. This in-person version contains all the same content as our online Managing to Change the World.

By the end of this training, managers leave equipped to:

• Delegate tasks effectively
• Stay engaged in the work without micromanaging
• Address unconscious bias in your management
• Clarify expectations that matter most
• Use feedback and debriefs to manage performance and drive impact

This training takes place at the Friends Meeting, Washington, DC (near Dupont Circle).

10am to 4:30pm, including a one-hour break for lunch. 

There will not be food or drinks provided onsite at the training. You are welcome to bring your own, or get lunch at a nearby restaurant. 

Cost:

$575 per person for organizations with budgets over $10 million

$500 per person for organizations with budgets between $2 million and $10 million

$390 per person for organizations with budgets below $2 million

$350 per person for individuals attending without organizational assistance
