Educational Equity Newsletter – June 4, 2020
Interested in receiving these newsletters for education sector leaders? Sign up here. (You can also sign up for our general newsletter while you're at it!)
We’re here with you.
We are writing to remember George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor. And the others murdered before them in recent memory: Tamir Rice. Trayvon Martin. Oscar Grant. Eric Garner. Philando Castile. Samuel Dubose. Sandra Bland. Walter Scott. Sean Reed. Tony McDade. Terrence Crutcher. We join each of you in mourning for every person killed by white supremacy that we still do not know, and standing with every Black mother, father, parent, child, friend, and colleague still living who is personally impacted by the system of white supremacy and the individuals whose actions uphold and perpetuate it.
To our Black colleagues and friends who are impacted by the consequences of white supremacy every day—we see you and we’ll continue to see you.
Rather than sending our typical newsletter this week, we’re holding space to listen. If you’d like to talk, reply to this email and we’ll find time to connect.
